Sergio has a Bachelor's degree in Film and Television from the National University. He is a director of photography and animator. Besides, he is also Director and co-founder of 3DADOSMEDIA, established 13 years ago. Sergio has been the director of many animation short films, some of the most notable and winner of many awards "Animalario."

He is also the co-director of SABOGAL, the first Colombian feature film competing for a nomination for Best Feature Film at the most important animation film festival of the world: Annecy in France. Sergio is the co-creator and Director of Espantijos, a Trans-Media Universe work, whose main component is an animated series for kids, accompanied by a virtual reality game, collectible card game, and songs.
