Claudia holds a degree in Liberal Arts from the Navarra University in Pamplona, Spain. She has been the Director of the Cinemateca Distrital for over 6 years. Claudia contributed to the incorporation and establishment of the Colombian Film Heritage Foundation, serving as their Managing Director for over 9 years. From the year 1998, she has been the Managing Director of Mixed Fund for the Promotion of the Film Industry (Proimagenes Colombia), an organization that manages the funds received from the government and the private sector for the development of the film industry in the country, and which through the Colombian Film Commission promotes the country as a desirable location for the production of audiovisual materials of the likes of movies, TV series, and advertising.

In the year 2016, she was recognized as one of the best leaders in the country by the Magazine Semana and the Foundation for the promotion of Leadership and Democracy. In that same year, the French government bestowed upon her the honour of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters.
