Manuel Borda
He studied classical guitar, piano and composition at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de los Andes, the Manuel de Falla Conservatory (Argentina) and the Liceu Conservatory (Spain), where he was awarded a scholarship by the "Sociedad de Autores de España SGAE". Since 2003 he has worked as a composer in advertising, fiction and animation. He has worked for Nick Cross (Sponge Bob, and winner of two Emmys in 2016 for Over the garden wall), M.R Horhager (Dot, Blue clues), Juan Manuel Urbina, Miguel Otálora,Edgar Alvarez, Netflix, Discovery Kids, Cartoon Network, Ánima, RTVC, Caracol. In documentaries such as El rastro de Camilo by RTVC, Alias JJ, the evil celebrity by Netflix, Simplemente Pacheco, Laura and Caminos de guerra y paz by Canal Caracol, in animated series such as Bot Bot y Anteojos, Martín y Prika, Crónicas Elefantiles, Don Quijote de la Láctea, Espantijos, and short films such as Te odio luz roja, Invisibles, RED, Un 9 de abril, Hamelin, among others. Winner of the Santa Lucía award from the In Vitro Visual festival in 2009 for best sound design made for the short film Línea de tiempo. He was co-writer and general producer of the FDC-winning documentary Los hombres ausentes, and director and screenwriter of "Simón dice", a project that won the Crea digital 2018 award, for the production of an animated series pilot.
