Silvana Rodriguez is the Director for Strategic Partnerships in the Americas at ConsenSys, a global blockchain technology company building the infrastructure, applications, and practices that enable a decentralized world.  

A former U.S. diplomat with the State Department from 2006 to 2018, Silvana most recently served as the Senior Partnerships Advisor in the Secretary’s Office of Global Partnerships, where she focused on public-private partnerships exploring blockchain use for international development.  

Her diplomatic career also included assignments at the U.S. Embassy in Colombia covering peace process issues and overseeing landmine removal programs, in Washington D.C. covering Russia's foreign policy and political-military affairs, at the U.S. Embassy in Madagascar working on political and human rights issues, and at the U.S. Embassy in Argentina.  

Prior to joining the State Department, Silvana spent several years in consulting as an Associate at AALC (formerly Armitage Associates), where she assisted defense and energy clients with projects in East Asia, Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the United States in identifying joint venture partners, assessing market entry feasibility and mitigating political risk.   She holds a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and an M.A. in Public Policy from Princeton University.
