Ramón was born in Cartagena, Colombia in 1985 and has been living in Chicago, US, since 1993. After earning a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, he started working at Midway Games, where he was part of the Advanced Technology Group, collaborating on online gaming platforms such as Blitz: The League 2 and Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.

In 2010, he joined Galaxy Studios with other colleagues and friends, where he has worked on many projects, including Street Fighter Third Strike: Online Edition, Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, Darkstalkers Resurrection and Divekick. He currently serves as Technical Director at Iron Galaxy Studios
