Professional in Finance, International Relations and Government graduated from Universidad Externado de Colombia; specialized in Government and Public Policy and Regional Development, she was granted a fellowship from theUnited States Department of State and the League of Women Voters; during her tenure within this program, she was recognized as top fellow.

Galé began her career as town councilor for Chapinero, where she devoted all efforts to protecting the town’s children and youth, and championed social campaigns including childhood vaccination and elimination of places for sexual exploitation and minor trafficking. For this intense effort, she was voted as “Personality of the Year (2005) by El Espectador newspaper.

Later in her career, she was candidate to the Andean Parliament, where she obtained one of the highest voting in the history of that corporation. During her professional life she has worked as public and private internal affairs advisor, and she has served as advisor to the Colombian Congress on these areas.

She is currently Executive President of the Colombian Association of IT and Communication Operators – ASOTIC-, becoming one of the most influential women in the ICT industry thanks to her contribution to building regulations that promote the industry, foster new competition in the interest of the right to information and technological access of each and every Colombian.

Her daughter Sofia is her greatest source of inspiration and pride. As an ICT woman, she is convinced that innovation, teamwork, and increased women’s participation in decision making is a key element of the country’s social transformation, in addition to her formula to achieve professional success.
