Courtney is the COO of 500 Startups.  She is tasked with helping 500 scale globally and explore new opportunities across both new and existing markets. She is also responsible for driving day-to-day operations across the team to pursue 500’s mission. 

She was co-founder and CEO of PublikDemand in Batch 4 of 500’s Seed Accelerator. She went on to become CEO of Agent Pronto, one of the largest real estate agent referral services in North America, which was acquired by Fidelity National Title Group. 

Most recently, Courtney was the Head of Corporate Development at Keller Williams, the largest real estate company in the world by agent count and transaction volume. During her tenure, she established the company’s first corporate innovation program, and served as a liaison for Keller Capital, helping the investment arm acquire tech companies in the real estate space.

Hitos: Economic growth and Corporate Venturing Luis is the Founder and Managing Director of Alsis—a specialized company focused on growth, corporate venturing, corporate venture capital (CVC), competitiveness, investments and business and technology assessment. He held key positions in global companies across Latin America, including IBM, HSBC and Cendant Group (currently Wyndham). At HSBC, he was responsible for the operation of a USD$30 Billion (AUM) portfolio, Luis is considered one of the 12 most valuable executives at HSBC in LATAM. He coordinated investments for up to USD $500M in the mobile phone industry and for other industries such as airports and Telecom companies. He has led working teams in the UK, the United States, India, China, Canada, Hong Kong and Latin America. He has lived in six different countries and speaks several languages. He took a break from the corporate world to get to know more about entrepreneurial ecosystems such as the Silicon Valley, Boston, Israel, and others, and learn about agile methodologies for business development. He is the author of the book “La Dinamica de las 4 Aes”, which helps companies identify opportunities based on corporate entrepreneurship and innovation.
