Andrés LiebanAndrés Lieban

Andrés has a degree in Plastic Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and has been working in animation for more than 25 years. His shorts and series have won national and international national awards in events such as Anima Mundi, Chicago Festival, Divercine, Chilemonos, Licensing Challenge / MipCom Jr. and Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano. Creator and director of the series "Mi AmigaZazo" and "Cuarto de Jobi". 

He is also a founding partner and creative director of the production company and 2DLab animation studio, one of the pioneering studios in Brazil to produce animated series and develop international co-productions. Between 2005 and 2006 he was president of ABCA (Brazilian Association of Animation Cinema). In his production company, Andrés is the leader of the 2DLAB Creative Nucleus, which receives contributions from the Audiovisual Sector Fund.

In 2017, he participated as a script consultant for children's and youth films at the New Histories Laboratory, in Rio de Janeiro. In the following year, he was in charge of making the general direction of the Brazil Quadro exhibition at Quadro - 100 Years of Brazilian Animation, in Annecy, France. Currently, Andrés premiered the animated series "Short!" in the Studio Universal channel, "Count on Me" for TV Brasil and produces "The Wild Hotel of Ana Flor" for the ZooMoo channel.
