Mauricio is an Electronic Engineer from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, he holds a master’s degree in Innovative and Technology-Based Company Creation and Management from Universidad de Barcelona. He leads the Blockchain initiatives at the Colombian Fourth Industrial Revolution Center.

He has served as Extension Director of the Bogota office at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, and Co-director of the InTIColombia research group of the Universidad Nacional, a research group that investigates Fourth Industrial Revolution’s disruptive technologies.

He has been researching on Blockchain technology and applications for the past 3 years, developing projects for land registration, voting, academic certifications and document security on the ViveLab. Mauricio co-authored the Latin American prologue of the book Blockchain: The Industrial Revolution of the Internat and co-authored a chapter on autonomous and decentralized organizations in the book: Blockchain Community.
